watching "The Lorax"

I saw it in the cinemas with my sister and my mom. The animation is great I gotta admit that was the good thing I liked about it. The story was OK and the voice acting was alright. This is one of my favorite animations by far.

Dr.Seuss once said, "Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It's not." This powerful quote comes one of my favorite animations, "The Lorax". The popular children's book was written in 1971. It came to the big screen in 2012 from the directors Kyle Balda and Chris Renaud. They are also the creators who directed "Despicable Me".

            So lets dive into the story The story is about a young 10 yr old named Ted who you know is in HSM as Troy Bolton who has a crush on a girl called Audrey who wants someone to get her a real tree and not the plastic trees that are around her area as the whole place is actually made of plastic. So Ted goes in search of a tree until he meets a strange man named The Onceler. So The Onceler tells Ted the story of The Lorax voiced by Danny De Vito who is the owner of the forest and its trees and wants to protect the environmental surroundings in the forest. 

            Now I'm not gonna spoil it anymore as you know whats gonna happen but this movie is strictly for the kids but if you have kids who are under 5 then its not a problem,if your a adult like me i'd say watch a few times and that's it.

Watching "Bebe" ♥

"Babe" is one of my favorite movies. A lot of people laugh at me when I say that, but I know that this film is one of the best ones ever made. It's simple, beautiful, positive and original. 

I was dragged to this film by my teacher Dave. I have chance to borrow it from American Corner at NSTRU. I watched it with English subtitle.

The story is about a farm pig who wants to become a sheep dog. Pretty strange considering a pig's place is in people's plates. but Babe has something the sheep dogs don't have: gallantry. His kindness, determination and good intentions will make him a truly unique individual, one that stands out from his peers, proving that no matter who you are, you can make a difference.
 

I love the way the story is made. It is cut into chapters with a bit of narration, giving us the warm "grandfather story" or "old school" feeling. It's a very comfortable ambiance, and every animal brings its personality into making an awesome story.
 
Now I am sure you've all seen talking animal movies before, with voice-overs. Babe took it one step further with the animals' lips being in sync with their lines! Talk about realism! The sets are very friendly to the eyes and contribute into making this movie a classic.
 
Babe is one great movie for everyone to see, it's magical and enchanting! :D

Reading "Smile"

                        I borrowed from American Corner.

            It tells the story of Raina's life from middle school to high school. You might think that a book just about middle school and high school is boring but not when the unexpected happens. In this book, it's when Raina falls down one day as she is running back home when her two front teeth fall out as they smash against the ground. From braces to headgear to even root canals, Raina tells us how she survives school.

            I think this a really good and interesting book. It's good because many of us middle school girls can relate to it. I felt I could relate to it because I have braces before and I know how that experience is.

             I would definitely recommend this book to anyone to do some reading . It is wonderfully interesting and entertaining. It's also quite easy to understand and easy to follow the story.

5th Learning Log 8th July 2013

     Today I’ve learned about how to design lesson plan. It’s not easy because I have to know what should I focus on the student. What terminal and enabling objective. Now I know That I must focus on speaking and listening skill because ASEAN community in 2015 when we use English for communication.

When I write lesson plan. I must focus student about speaking skill and listening skill. I should apply Communicative Language Teaching in my lesson plan. I must write general from wide to narrow. For teach students teacher should teach in relax way. Teacher should have games, song, videos and etc. It will motivate students to learn and students can learn easier. Before I write lesson plan I must have objectives and indicators because students must learn pass indicator completely.

To conclude, I think it is important for me because I must use it in future. I must design lesson plan correctly. I should apply CLT to teach students and focus speaking skill and listening skill for students. Students can communicate when they learn and must learn pass indicator completely it will increase student effectively to learn.
