Reading "Smile"

                        I borrowed from American Corner.

            It tells the story of Raina's life from middle school to high school. You might think that a book just about middle school and high school is boring but not when the unexpected happens. In this book, it's when Raina falls down one day as she is running back home when her two front teeth fall out as they smash against the ground. From braces to headgear to even root canals, Raina tells us how she survives school.

            I think this a really good and interesting book. It's good because many of us middle school girls can relate to it. I felt I could relate to it because I have braces before and I know how that experience is.

             I would definitely recommend this book to anyone to do some reading . It is wonderfully interesting and entertaining. It's also quite easy to understand and easy to follow the story.

5th Learning Log 8th July 2013

     Today I’ve learned about how to design lesson plan. It’s not easy because I have to know what should I focus on the student. What terminal and enabling objective. Now I know That I must focus on speaking and listening skill because ASEAN community in 2015 when we use English for communication.

When I write lesson plan. I must focus student about speaking skill and listening skill. I should apply Communicative Language Teaching in my lesson plan. I must write general from wide to narrow. For teach students teacher should teach in relax way. Teacher should have games, song, videos and etc. It will motivate students to learn and students can learn easier. Before I write lesson plan I must have objectives and indicators because students must learn pass indicator completely.

To conclude, I think it is important for me because I must use it in future. I must design lesson plan correctly. I should apply CLT to teach students and focus speaking skill and listening skill for students. Students can communicate when they learn and must learn pass indicator completely it will increase student effectively to learn.

           Independence Day, commonly known as the Fourth of July, is a federal holiday in the United States commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, declaring independence from the Kingdom of Great Britain. Independence Day is commonly associated with fireworks, parades, barbecues, carnivals, fairs, picnics, concerts, baseball games, family reunions, and political speeches and ceremonies, in addition to various other public and private events celebrating the history, government, and traditions of the United States. Independence Day is the National Day of the United States.

             27-29 June 2013We were given a very short period in this beach. Kinda disappointed with that cause didn't get to spend much time here. But among all of the stops, Maya Beach is my favourite as it makes me felt like I was in paradise - especially stepping on the silky soft white sands and surrounded by impressive limestone cliffs and stunning sunlit crystal water, only if this place is not overcrowded with tourists I could wish.

 Viking Cave is filled with bird's nest. We were not allowed to enter this cave and most of the boats were allowed to stop nearby for photo opportunity only.

Our trip was really fun and time is passing way too fast T^T

             Well, if more time were given, I wish to go back to Maya bay again but what can I ask for more when my friends and I had experienced of amazing and stunning island hopping in our life.

4th Learning Log 1st June 13

Today I’ve learned about how to design the syllabus and how to write the lesson plan. It important for me because when in the future I must use it.

First, how to design the syllabus. In the syllabus has 4 unit include local, regional, global and glocal (global + local). Teacher should design the syllabus by communicative language teaching and teach from easy to hard. In addition, when we design the syllabus we should focus about listening skill and speaking skill because students can use in the real life.

        Second, how to write the lesson plan. Lesson plans must be consistent with 4c such as English for competent, English for culture, English for connection and English for community. Teacher should consider to equation language learning and student must have background knowledge and must have the new knowledge plus one step. In the objective must clear, specific and concise.

               To sum up, the syllabus and lesson plan is important for me because I must use in the future. I must design a syllabus and lesson plan but I must do it correctly.
